Ekamūlasutta  One Root

“Ekamūlaṁ dvirāvaṭṭaṁ,  “One the root, two the loops,
timalaṁ pañcapattharaṁ;  three the stains, five the spreads,
Samuddaṁ dvādasāvaṭṭaṁ,  and the ocean, the twelfth whirlpool:
pātālaṁ atarī isī”ti.  such is the abyss crossed over by the seer.”
