Bāhiradhātunānattasutta  External Diversity of Elements

Sāvatthiyaṁ viharati.  At Sāvatthī.

“Dhātunānattaṁ vo, bhikkhave, desessāmi.  “Mendicants, I will teach you the diversity of elements.
Taṁ suṇātha …pe… 
katamañca, bhikkhave, dhātunānattaṁ?  And what is the diversity of elements?
Rūpadhātu saddadhātu gandhadhātu rasadhātu phoṭṭhabbadhātu dhammadhātu—  The sight element, the sound element, the smell element, the taste element, the touch element, and the idea element.
idaṁ vuccati, bhikkhave, dhātunānattan”ti.  This is called the diversity of elements.”
