“Ahaṁ kho veḷugumbasmiṁ, I’ll eat honey and milk-rice
bhutvāna madhupāyasaṁ; in Veḷugumba.
Padakkhiṇaṁ sammasanto, And then, skillfully scrutinizing
khandhānaṁ udayabbayaṁ; the rise and fall of the aggregates,
Sānuṁ paṭigamissāmi, I’ll return to my forest hill
vivekamanubrūhayan”ti. and foster seclusion.
