“Anusāsi mahāvīro, He counseled me, the great hero,
sabbadhammāna pāragū; the one who has gone beyond all things.
Tassāhaṁ dhammaṁ sutvāna, When I heard his teaching
vihāsiṁ santike sato;
sato → rato (sya1ed, sya2ed, pts1ed) I stayed close by him, mindful.
Tisso vijjā anuppattā, I’ve attained the three knowledges
kataṁ buddhassa sāsanan”ti. and fulfilled the Buddha’s instructions.
