“Dasayime, bhikkhave, dhamme appahāya abhabbo arahattaṁ sacchikātuṁ.
“Mendicants, without giving up ten things you can’t realize perfection.
Katame dasa?
What ten?
Rāgaṁ, dosaṁ, mohaṁ, kodhaṁ, upanāhaṁ, makkhaṁ, paḷāsaṁ, issaṁ, macchariyaṁ, mānaṁ—
Greed, hate, delusion, anger, acrimony, disdain, contempt, jealousy, stinginess, and conceit.
ime kho, bhikkhave, dasa dhamme appahāya abhabbo arahattaṁ sacchikātuṁ.
Without giving up these ten things you can’t realize perfection.
Dasayime, bhikkhave, dhamme pahāya bhabbo arahattaṁ sacchikātuṁ.
After giving up ten things you can realize perfection.
Katame dasa?
