Puṇṇamāsattheragāthā  Puṇṇamāsa (1st)

“Vihari apekkhaṁ idha vā huraṁ vā,  A knowledge master, peaceful and self-controlled,
Yo vedagū samito yatatto;  is rid of concern for this world and the world beyond.
Sabbesu dhammesu anūpalitto,  Unsullied in the midst of all things,
Lokassa jaññā udayabbayañcā”ti.  they’d know the arising and passing of the world.

Itthaṁ sudaṁ āyasmā puṇṇamāso thero gāthaṁ abhāsitthāti.  That is how this verse was recited by the senior venerable Puṇṇamāsa.

vaggo paṭhamo. 

Tassuddānaṁ 

Subhūti koṭṭhiko thero, 
kaṅkhārevatasammato; 
Mantāṇiputto dabbo ca, 
sītavaniyo ca bhalliyo; 
Vīro pilindavaccho ca, 
puṇṇamāso tamonudoti.
