Aññatarātherīgāthā  An Unnamed Nun (1st)

Namo tassa Bhagavato Arahato Sammāsambuddhassa.  Homage to that Blessed One, the perfected one, the fully awakened Buddha!

“Sukhaṁ supāhi therike,  Sleep softly, little nun,
Katvā coḷena pārutā;  wrapped in the cloth you sewed yourself;
Upasanto hi te rāgo,  for your desire has been quelled,
Sukkhaḍākaṁ va kumbhiyan”ti.  like vegetables boiled dry in a pot.

Itthaṁ sudaṁ aññatarā therī apaññātā bhikkhunī gāthaṁ abhāsitthāti.  That is how this verse was recited by a certain unnamed nun.
