Cittātherīgāthā  Cittā

“Kiñcāpi khomhi kisikā,  Though I’m skinny,
gilānā bāḷhadubbalā;  sick, and very feeble,
Daṇḍamolubbha gacchāmi,  I climb the mountain,
pabbataṁ abhirūhiya.  leaning on a staff.

Saṅghāṭiṁ nikkhipitvāna,  Having laid down my outer robe,
pattakañca nikujjiya;  and overturned my bowl,
Sele khambhesimattānaṁ,  propping myself against a rock,
tamokhandhaṁ padāliyā”ti.  I shattered the mass of darkness.
