1At Sāvatthī. "Bhikkhus, there are these three feelings. What three? Pleasant feeling, painful feeling, neither-painful-nor-pleasant feeling. These are the three feelings.
"The Noble Eightfold Path, bhikkhus, is to be developed for the full understanding of these three feelings. What is the Noble Eightfold Path? It is: right view, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, right concentration. sn.v.22 The Noble Eightfold Path is to be developed for the full understanding of these three feelings."
1Sāvatthinidānaṁ. "Tisso imā, bhikkhave, vedanā. Katamā tisso? Sukhā vedanā, dukkhā vedanā, adukkhamasukhā vedanā – imā kho, bhikkhave, tisso vedanā.
Imāsaṁ kho, bhikkhave, tissannaṁ vedanānaṁ pariññāya ariyo aṭṭhaṅgiko maggo bhāvetabbo. Katamo ariyo aṭṭhaṅgiko maggo? Seyyathidaṁ – sammādiṭṭhi … pe … sammāsamādhi. Imāsaṁ kho, bhikkhave, tissannaṁ vedanānaṁ pariññāya ariyo aṭṭhaṅgiko maggo bhāvetabbo"ti.
Navamaṁ.
