CūḷakammavibhaṅgasuttaThe Shorter Analysis of Action
Evaṁ me sutaṁ—I have heard ekaṁ samayaṁ bhagavā sāvatthiyaṁ viharati jetavane, anāthapiṇḍikassa ārāme.that on one occasion the Blessed One was staying near Sāvatthī in Jeta’s Grove, Anāthapiṇḍika’s monastery.
Atha kho subho māṇavo todeyyaputto yena bhagavā tenupasaṅkami; upasaṅkamitvā bhagavatā saddhiṁ sammodi. Then Subha the student, Todeyya’s son, went to the Blessed One and, on arrival, exchanged courteous greetings with him. Sammodanīyaṁ kathaṁ sāraṇīyaṁ vītisāretvā ekamantaṁ nisīdi. Ekamantaṁ nisinno kho subho māṇavo todeyyaputto bhagavantaṁ etadavoca:After an exchange of friendly greetings & courtesies, he sat to one side. As he was sitting there, he said to the Blessed One:

“Evaṁ, bho”ti kho subho māṇavo todeyyaputto bhagavato paccassosi.“As you say, Master Gotama,” Subha the student responded to the Blessed One. Bhagavā etadavoca:The Blessed One said:
