Mohasutta

Vuttañhetaṁ bhagavatā vuttamarahatāti me sutaṁ:This was said by the Blessed One, said by the Arahant, so I have heard:

“Ekadhammaṁ, bhikkhave, pajahatha;“Abandon one quality, monks, and I guarantee you non-return. ahaṁ vo pāṭibhogo anāgāmitāya. Katamaṁ ekadhammaṁ?Which one quality? Mohaṁ, bhikkhave, ekadhammaṁ pajahatha;Abandon delusion as the one quality, and I guarantee you non-return.” ahaṁ vo pāṭibhogo anāgāmitāyā”ti.

Etamatthaṁ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṁ iti vuccati:

“Yena mohena mūḷhāse, sattā gacchanti duggatiṁ;The delusion with which beings go to a bad destination, confused: Taṁ mohaṁ sammadaññāya, pajahanti vipassino;from rightly knowing that delusion, those who see clearly let go. Pahāya na punāyanti, imaṁ lokaṁ kudācanan”ti.Letting go, they never come to this world again.

Ayampi attho vutto bhagavatā, iti me sutanti.

Tatiyaṁ.
