Duccaritasutta
Vuttañhetaṁ bhagavatā vuttamarahatāti me sutaṁ:This was said by the Blessed One, said by the Arahant, so I have heard:
“Tīṇimāni, bhikkhave, duccaritāni.“Monks, there are these three kinds of misconduct. Katamāni tīṇi?Which three? Kāyaduccaritaṁ, vacīduccaritaṁ, manoduccaritaṁ—Bodily misconduct, verbal misconduct, mental misconduct. imāni kho, bhikkhave, tīṇi duccaritānī”ti.These are the three kinds of misconduct.”
Etamatthaṁ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṁ iti vuccati:
“Kāyaduccaritaṁ katvā, vacīduccaritāni ca;Having engaged in bodily misconduct, acts of verbal misconduct, Manoduccaritaṁ katvā, yañcaññaṁ dosasaṁhitaṁ.misconduct of mind, or whatever else is flawed,
Akatvā kusalaṁ kammaṁ, katvānākusalaṁ bahuṁ;not having done what is skillful, having done much that is not, Kāyassa bhedā duppañño, nirayaṁ sopapajjatī”ti.at the break-up of the body, the undiscerning one reappears in hell.
