Etamatthaṁ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṁ iti vuccati:
“Kāyamuniṁ vacīmuniṁ, manomunimanāsavaṁ;A sage in body, a sage in speech, a sage in mind, effluent-free: Muniṁ moneyyasampannaṁ, āhu ninhātapāpakan”ti.
āhu ninhātapāpakan”ti → āhu niṇhātapāpakanti (pts-vp-pli1); āhu sabbappahāyinanti (an3.122:1 [122. Moneyyasutta])a sage consummate in sagacity is said to be bathed of evil.
